As an IT Solutions Architect myself, I'm definitely encountering more crunch as time goes on and the career fleshes out further. However, I'm noticing the exec roles in multiple companies I've worked for have changed heads multiple times, and one case, CTO stepping away opened up a whole new runway for them on how they wanted to approach their career and the kind of work they wanted to do, leaving open time.
In short, I get it.
There may be an opportunity to come back when the world shifts again.
